Storage space
It is difficult to work productively in a cluttered workspace. When you first have to tidy up your desk before you can get started, you already start off with a setback. Give your belongings a fixed place and provide sufficient storage space to keep your workspace organized. Make it a habit to tidy everything up after every workday. This way you start each day with a clean slate. Put the things you need on a daily basis on your desk in trays or, for example, in an organizer. It is bothersome to have to look for important items at the start of the day. Things you need every now and then are best stored in a cupboard or on a shelf. Try to put everything in boxes or baskets so it is out of sight.
